The Volkswagen group is continuing its electric offensive. In the first half of 2021, it launched the following new models: Volkswagen ID.4, Volkswagen ID.6, ŠKODA Enyaq iV, Audi Q4 e-tron, Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan Cross Touring .
A total of 170,939 all-electric BEV models were delivered worldwide at the end of June, more than double the number of last year (+ 165.2%). After 59,948 BEVs delivered to customers in the first quarter (+ 78.4% year-on-year), deliveries in the second quarter increased significantly, as expected. It delivered 110,991 units to its customers (+ 259.7% compared to last year). In the following months, sales accelerated further thanks to the expansion of the range with new models. The group has also constantly expanded its portfolio of PHEV models. This category of vehicles also enjoys strong customer demand. In total, 171,300 plug-in hybrids were delivered in the first half of the year, more than three times more than last year (+ 204.2%).
